Recent developments

On Saturday February 20^th WATU held its first textbook distribution fair at The Shiri Mgungani Learning and Resource Centre. Attendance was excellent and textbooks were distributed to twenty-five secondary schools in the area. Hon. Fuya Godwin Kimbita, the Hai District Member of Parliament, officiated at the distribution of books which was very much appreciated by all present: headteachers, teachers, students and parents. Visitors also had the opportunity to see the Montesorri pre-primary in action. In his speech to guests, Mr Josiah Mchome, WATU director, said that perhaps the books that students were receiving today would help to mould the future surgeons of Tanzania. It was agreed by everyone that the fair had been a great success.
