Container Arrives in Moshi
September 4 2010
We are very happy to announce that our container of educational materials arrived safely in Moshi at the beginning of January only a few days later than expected. Mr Josiah Mchome, WATU director, worked tirelessly to facilitate customs procedures and then the journey by lorry from the port at Dar es Salaam to WATU’s offices in Moshi was uneventful. A large group of volunteers helpd to unload the container, amongst them a number of students who are sponsored in their studies in local secondary schools in Moshi by WATU, and Mr Steve Cliffen, Director of The Cicely Foundation, to whom we once again give our thanks for making this delivery of many hundreds of science and maths textbooks, together with a wide range of other educational materials, possible.
